Stewart St John & Michael Plahuta Drop New EP Soundtrack ‘Dr Epicopolis’, Release ‘Supervillain’ Music Video

Los Angeles, CA., September 12, 2023 — Songwriting/Producing team Stewart St John & Michael Plahuta – ‘St John & Plahuta’ – have released their new EP soundtrack, “Dr Epicopolis & 1102 Show of Shows”,  based on Wonkybot Entertainment’s award-winning comedy series of the same name.  To celebrate the release of the EP, now streaming on all major music platforms, the duo also dropped a music video for the song ‘Supervillain’, the 80s-inspired track they wrote for the show’s season finale episode.

“For the Supervillain song we made use of hardware synthesizers that were in heavy use in 1984,” said Michael Plahuta, ”including the legendary LinnDrum LM-2 drum machine, JUNO-106 analog synthesizer and the Oberheim OB-8 to name a few. Stewart and I wanted it to sound as authentically 80s as possible.”

Both Plahuta and St John are featured in the music video, with St John singing lead vocals.

“I brought my best 80s music video vibe to the production,” laughed St John. “I sang in character as Dr Epic, which was challenging because he speaks with a certain raspy, dramatic flair, but it was fun.  It’s definitely way over the top!”

The song is now available on the “Dr Epicopolis & 1102 Show of Shows” EP along with several other tracks the duo have composed for the series.
